It is true that there are over 700 churches in Charlotte, NC. Why a new church? Aren’t there enough? I think the answer is no.  While there are hundreds of churches, over 50% of the residents of Charlotte are unchurched. We are also convinced that just because people meet in a building on Sunday’s, this doesn’t guarantee that they are a gospel centered church.  Most churches in Charlotte are of two varieties.  Either they are stuck in the 1950’s or they are hooked on entertaining the people. We are neither of these things. In the Book of Acts, the church was characterized by two things: loving doctrine and loving people. Jesus Christ is to be exalted and the culture is to be engaged with His good news.
