Our Blog has moved! The new address is

Very soon, Lord willing, we will have sermon audio available on the web from our Sunday morning gatherings. Check out my group blog to check out our new BlogCast.

Praise the Lord! He answered our prayers today and provided a place for us to meet for worship. We will begin meeting on Sunday mornings for worship on the second floor of the office building at Morningstar Mini-Storage at 1001 North Tryon Street; Charlotte, NC 28206. There are three rooms and two bathrooms that are completely empty and not being used at all. I looked at the facilities today and they are just right for our needs right now. I’ll keep you posted when our first worship at the North Tryon location will begin!

UPDATEWe will begin meeting in our new facility this Sunday (7-22-07)!

As of today we are listed over at the Founders Ministry headed up by Tom Ascol.

Our first home meeting will be on Sunday, April 22nd. We will meet for our first worship together as a community. Our time will start at 9:30 AM. We will spend the first hour in some strategic planning and the second hour will be totally committed to worship. Worship time will conclude by our sharing our first Lord’s Supper together. We will share a meal together following our worship. God is going to do great things through all of us!

We are very excited about the way the Lord has been bringing everything together the last couple of weeks. I am through the application process with Acts 29 and am set to be assessed as a church planter in their network in September at the Boot Camp in Raleigh. We should be well off the ground by that point. It looks like we already have 12 or so in our core group and this number may be growing more each passing week. There are people in other parts of the country praying about being a part of this as well. Lord willing, we will begin our worship time in homes by late April (at this point early May seems to be the latest we will start). If you know anybody that would you think should be approached about praying about joining this ministry; talk to them or let me know. My vision became more clear over the weekend and I am more convinced than ever that God is behind Enjoying God. We officially have our Employer ID number (so the government knows who we are). We will have a bank account in the church’s name, Lord willing, by the day we begin meeting in homes for worship. Continue to pray for our young community of believers. Soli Deo Gloria!

Enjoying God is a church that desires to be four things.  First, we are Christian. We believe that it is important what you believe. We hold to the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Second London Confession of 1689. Second, we are Evangelical. We believe in the deity of Jesus, the inerrancy of the Bible, and the Trinity. We believe that without Christ, people will go to a real place called hell and the only way of salvation is faith in Jesus Christ.  Third, we are Missional. We believe that we exist to exalt Christ and to engage the culture. We will not attack the culture in the name on Christ.  On the other hand, we will not sanctify the culture. Christians are not to win the culture for Christ by becoming like the culture. We are to be in the world, not of the world. We must confront the culture, lovingly and boldly, with the good news of Jesus. Fourth, we are Reformed. We believe that God is sovereign and man is responsible.  Our battle cry is simple, “God saves sinners!”

If you desire to worship God and be empowered by the Spirit to fulfill the mission of God, come enjoy God with us. We are committed to being a church plant that plants churches and sends missionaries.  We desire to complete the Great Commission, not to be a “mega-church.” This site will keep you updated on key dates (i.e. our going public date) as well as other edifying articles.
